Job Description:
As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for our clients by patrolling, monitoring, and enforcing safety measures. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the premises and its occupants against theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities. Your vigilance and quick response will be instrumental in deterring potential threats and ensuring the safety of everyone within the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols to monitor activity and detect any suspicious behavior or unauthorized individuals on the premises.
- Access Control: Monitor access points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises. Verify identification when necessary and enforce access control policies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain order.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, employees, and clients as needed. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities. Prepare detailed reports for management review as required.
- Alarm Monitoring: Monitor security alarms and CCTV systems to identify potential security breaches. Take appropriate action in response to alarm activations.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts or disputes calmly and professionally. Use de-escalation techniques to resolve issues and maintain a peaceful environment.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with local law enforcement authorities or emergency services when necessary. Provide support and assistance during investigations or incidents.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to address them. Make recommendations for security improvements as needed.
- Training: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security protocols, emergency procedures, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8th-grade education, with a preference for candidates who have completed high school or obtained a higher degree.
- No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
- Must be between 18 and 60 years of age.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform patrol duties effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid security license or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of basic security procedures and protocols is a plus.
