Position Overview: As a Lady's Hostel Caretaker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hostel facility. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the premises. You will be the primary point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns and providing assistance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Management: You will be responsible for managing the intake of new residents, maintaining accurate records, and addressing any concerns or grievances raised by the residents promptly and effectively.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensuring the hostel premises are kept clean, hygienic, and well-maintained at all times. This includes supervising cleaning staff, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
- Safety and Security: Implementing and enforcing safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of residents and the security of the premises. This includes monitoring access to the facility, conducting regular safety drills, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Administrative Tasks: Assisting with administrative tasks such as managing resident registrations, handling inquiries from prospective residents, maintaining inventory, and managing hostel finances as needed.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to residents by addressing their needs and concerns professionally and courteously. Building positive relationships with residents to foster a supportive community environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Minimum 8th grade education to graduate level.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is not required but would be an asset.
- Age: Candidates must be between 18 to 60 years of age.
- Gender: Both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in local languages (Tamil) would be advantageous.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
